Prof. Basak is a faculty in the area of Principle of Management, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Labor laws, Marketing Management, Human Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Corporate Values & Ethics and Employability Skills & Soft Skills Development .

He was associated with various industries in different capacities like Executive-HRM, Manager-Personnel and HRM, etc. He has more than 20 years’ experiences in industry and teaching profession. He was associated with different Industries such as Aristo Texcon Pvt. Ltd., Hindustan Seals Ltd. (Manaksia Group), Orodental Hospital- Asansol, Dristi Eye Hospital- Asansol in various positions in the field of IR & HRM and Corporate Administration.

He has contributed his credential as a Core Faculty Member in various AICTE approved Visva Bharati University and WBUT affiliated academic institutions such as NSHM Business School; Durgapur, ABS Academy of Management & Technology-Durgapur, NIM Durgapur, IBRAD School of Management & Sustainable Development- Kolkata, Management Institute of Durgapur (MID), Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology & Management (DAITM)-Kolkata, Institute of Business Management & Research (IBMR)-Kolkata at various positions like Officer-In-Charge(Examinations), Teacher-In-Charge, Academic Head, Course Coordinator, Head- HR & Administration. Also he was associated with Nopany Institute of Management Studies (NIMS), International Institute of Management & Sciences (IIMS) as guest faculty member and also engaged with MBA, BBA, AICTE approved PGDBA courses and other Post Graduate Programs. He was also associated with East India Technical Institution, Burdwan, a premier Private ITI college in the Eastern Region as a Faculty of Employability Skills and Soft Skills trainer as well as Management Coordinator. Also he was engaged with Gita Rani Pvt. ITI, Masagram as Visiting Faculty. Lastly, he was associated with JIFSA, Fire & Safety Academy and Pristine Skill Power Pvt. Ltd., Fire and Safety Academy   in Durgapur as Centre Head. During his short tenure with Pristine, he has conducted various seminars in different ITIs and Polytechnic Colleges and made tie-up with them for safety awareness courses. He was Head Examiner, University Paper Setter and guided project work of BBA,MBA,BHM,PGPRM students. He has participated in various State and National level seminars and conferences.

He has a good command over teaching, research and administrative areas, which will be a good combination for class room interaction and the same, will definitely be a value addition to students in specific and all stake holders in general.
