Alluvium is a young start-up from Ahmedabad with a laser focus mission to solve very challenging and real-time problems in Large-Scale Companies with lone workers. These Helmets and Vest will ensure their safety and also provide immediate assistance or help in case of emergency situations.

They are exposed to health and safety hazards most. Every year tens of thousands of people die in occupational accidents and majority die due to lack of timely assistance.

Using Smart Vest, companies can improve the safety response time by 95%. One of the biggest challenges in the industry is with respect to the Lone workers, they are working alone and when they find themselves in need of help, they are usually unable to connect (As the work sites are usually in the remote area and suffer from network connectivity) to the right person at the right time. Smart Vest and Helmets will have the Distress button, which can be used by the lone workers when they are in need of help. This information will be passed on to the group of people in real-time and information will have the location of a person who has pressed it and none of this requires the presence of any cellular network connectivity.

In recent times we have seen various cases where the number of sanitation & mining workers died after inhaling the toxic gas. Smart vest and helmet will work as a lifesaving system when he is in the area, where there is a presence of a Poisonous gas / Toxic gas, Smart Vest will automatically notify the workers about the same so that he doesn’t inhale the gas for a longer period of time and get unconscious.  In case of the worker is working at height, Vest will capture the altitude information and if he violates the height parameters, he will get the notification. In case he falls down, Smart Vest will detect the fall and notify the concern team of safety with SMS, Push Notifications, Automatic Calls.

Most of the safety-focused companies perform Mock Drills to ensure in case of any major safety hazard people gather outside in the safe area. When that happens for real, it is always a concern that no one is inside the affected area and in case if there are, where exactly they are? Smart Vest, will be able to show you that how many people are inside the affected area and to be precise, at which floor too. Fire at the workplace is one of the best examples where Vest will outperform but CCTV cameras will have challenges due to smoke.
